Bio: With a storied career spanning from military and civilian law enforcement, criminal investigations and the maritime environments as a science and public safety diver Dr. Michael Ange brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the world of both marksmanship and personal defense.

Law Enforcement and a Practical Global Background:

• Military Police Officer: He began his journey in law enforcement in the Military Police career field, safeguarding our nation’s interests on the global stage.  Over his combined reserve and active service of 12 years he was trained as a criminal investigator, as the NCOIC of an MP React/SR Team specializing in responses to terror and other threats to critical sites and VIPs and as a physical security inspector testing military sites for adequate resistance to threats internal and external.  He saw deployments to the Middle East, North Africa, the Philippines and several US Military installations in the US. 
• Sheriff’s Deputy and Public Safety Officer: Transitioning seamlessly into civilian law enforcement while still serving as a reservist, Ange spent years on the streets, tirelessly serving and protecting his local communities.  Serving as a Public Safety Officer with certifications as a firefighter, advanced EMT and a police officer in a Marine Corps Base City before switching to a more demanding high crime area as a Deputy Sheriff and finally moving to drugs.
• Narcotics Officer and Task Force Agent: Adept at tackling complex challenges, he served as a narcotics officer, contributing to the fight against illicit drug activities with his local agency and on a multi-jurisdictional task force.
• Global Experience: Ange’s dedication took him far and wide, with service in Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, and throughout the Southeastern United States, where he faced diverse and demanding situations.   Mike was forced to leave law enforcement due to injuries sustained during a war time mobilization to the middle east with his reserve unit.
• In his post law enforcement/military career he shifted seamlessly to the world of public safety, scientific and technical diving where he continued to train LEOs, underwater crime scene techs, public safety divers, scientific divers and military groups including local/state departments, national public safety assets in Europe and force protection police in Asia. He was also privileged to train members of the US Army’s 3^rd and 7^th Special Forces Groups’ Dive Teams for specialized recovery operations conducted to LEO standards.  He was the founding member of the world’s largest public safety diver training agency and is the author of 10 non fiction books published in 17 languages.
• Teaching, speaking and doing business as a corporate executive, maritime captain and trainer in 37 countries, including emerging nations and countries in active conflict, he has real world experience keeping himself safe in virtually every urban environment imaginable and most undeveloped settings except jungles. 

Professional Training Relevant to Firearms and Survival Training:

• Mike is qualified by the National Rifle Association as a multi discipline firearms instructor (incl courses for pistols, rifles and shotguns)
• FBI Academy for Police Officers: Mike honed his skills in team management and law enforcement supervision under the tutelage of the prestigious team of instructors from the Unites States Federal Bureau of Investigations.
• He has held LEO certifications from the US Army/DoD and the State of North Carolina.
• US Army Criminal Investigations Courses: A commitment to excellence led them to the pinnacle of military law enforcement, the US Army Criminal Investigations Courses.
• Expert Military Marksman: His proficiency extends to a range of weaponry, including rifles, pistols, grenade launchers, and automatic weapons, making him an all-round expert marksman.
• Training as law enforcement sharpshooter or sniper – showcasing precision and accuracy under demanding conditions.
• VIP Protection Training: Rigorous VIP protection training to include defensive driving for VIP security, training to ensure the safety of high-profile individuals in high-stress and threat reactive situations. 
• Army Physical Security Inspector Course: His expertise extends to the world of target hardening and physical security, having successfully completed the Army Physical Security Inspector Course with a focus on securing critical military sites from both internal and external threats including terror threats.
• Crime Prevention School: Committed to preventing crime as well as responding to it, Mike attended NC Justice Academy’s Crime Prevention School among a number of others
• Finally, Michael also holds a PhD in adult educational psychology where he studied and published in the specific area of survival in critical incidents and how curriculum may be used to improve survival odds.  Although he is NOT a lawyer but he did read law at a top 20 US law school and graduate law in the UK as a part of his professional development. He is considered an expert in post incident maritime investigations having published well over 100 post incident analyses and reviews, many of them fatalities, all of which have given him a unique perspective on the skills and attributes that lead to survival or failure to survive when a good day turns to either triumph or tragedy.
